HURRICANE IKE

Musings by Jason Black | CEO, Boundless Network

Hurricane

As most people know, Hurricane Ike made its way through Texas last week. During the process it left a path of destruction specifically in the Galveston – Houston areas. Most people have probably seen the destruction… it looks like something straight out of a war zone.

Unfortunately, you never really have a full appreciation for the human element of these events until they hit close to home. For the Boundless family, this hurricane did exactly that: it literally hit close to home, completely destroying the family home of one of our Boundless employees. As an employer, it’s tough to know what to say/do or how to help when someone has been impacted at this level. For now, we want to let the Philips family know that they are in our thoughts and prayers as they look to rebuild both their lives and their home. And if they are as strong as their daughter, they will be back on their feet in no time.

And secondarily, our Houston office will be out of commission for the next couple of weeks while electricity is restored. Hopefully, we (Texas, Louisiana and Florida) are done with hurricanes for the rest of 2008!
